TIMBER.......
In our yard we have a beautiful OLD birch tree. The problem with the tree is that is was dead at the bottom and the top ~ branches would fall for no reason and it was becoming unsafe. We ended up making the decision to have it taken down. It was a shame to see such a big tree go BUT there is an amazing old white oak tree behind it which we can now see.

I am sure it looks even better without the HUGE tree there. It took up way to much yard and blocked your house:)
This must be the week of tree trimming, etc. I think all of our neighbors, including us, have been trimming, pruning and cutting down. Chop, chop, chop!
I absolutely love birch trees--they are plentiful and wild here! The white bark is gorgeous...it's sad to lose such an old tree, but at least you have lots of others to shade you in the heat!
