Help Me Decide...Part 2

Ok....my dear friends and cyber friends your opinions are great! You are all solidifying what I already felt in my gut and that is another minivan. I said that is what I was leaning towards and still that is what I will most likely get. Anyway, the old man in the family {Tim} will have the sporty car so when needed I will drive that! SO, now the question is this.....should I stay with the Chrysler Town and Country or go for another maker such as Honda, Toyota???

I have heard fantastic reports about the Honda! I love the Toyota as well. We drive a Ford and have had it for 4 years and it's been fantastic!

We loved our Honda Odyssey that we got in IN. Although it is not glamorous and definitely a "mom-mobile" the storage was great!

Go for the Honda. You have loved it for years. As you know I have driven Hondas for almost thirty yrs and have never been let down.

I like the one (Chrysler?) with the table and captain chairs that fold into the floor. I, myself, am leaning towards one of those in the near future.....mom-mobile is right! lol

I'm partial to the Chrysler too as we have owned 2 of them. I happen to love mine with the captains' chairs--they now have the ones that "stow and go" which is cool--also the front and back tv screens...way cool too! I loved Acra dealership in Columbus for very nice, hardly used vehicles...we bought 3 cars there (2 minivans!) and they were great to deal with. Just my thoughts...don't know much about the Hondas...

Having worked in the auto industry, you would be well served to consider the japanese nameplates. You'll have far less trouble with them than the Chrysler.

I could say a lot more about the american car companies, but I'll keep my mouth shut.

Ok so I've had two Odyssey's and have LOVED them. The "new" ones have the automatic lift gate in back, side curtain airbags and middle windows that roll down. These are all things I want in my next van. Most minis these days have the stow-and-go storage which really is great. My only issue with the Honda is that now that it is 8 years old - it has gone a little "mushy" in the steering. My initial toss up was between the Honda & Toyota. Only reason I didn't get the Toyota back then was the "trunk" storage space was bigger in the Honda. They've since corrected that at Toyota. I'm wanting to test drive the new Toyota Hybrid minivan-which is supposed to be out this year. We have the Highlander hybrid and LOVE it. Seats 7 - but not much space in the third row for extended travel. Still need the minivan if we have any "gear" to take. The idea of "swivel" chairs concern me for safety reasons. Not to mention - I can't ride backward without motion sickness!
